Think of it as raising a tiger when everyone around you is raising a kitten
I’ve updated the “High Needs Baby” page on my blog.
It’s not a diagnosis. It’s characteristics of a personality trait. It has never had a negative connotation to me.
You will never hear my complain about my difficult child.
Because to me he’s not difficult.
To me he’s wonderful.
Everyone you ask will say the same.
It’s just him
It’s who he is
Because no matter how intense he gets, he is still a very happy go lucky child. He will charm the socks off most people, and if you’re under the age of 10 there’s a very good chance you’ll get hugs and kisses galore.
I also have a strong support team around me that share my positive outlook, from family and friends to preschool teachers and congregation.
I am blessed to have them in my life.
